Summer Professional Orientation ProgramAfter the great success of the University of Cincinnati’s (UC) 1st and 2nd Summer Professional Orientation Programs, also known as UC Summer Program, FUE has the pleasure to announce UC's 3rd Summer 3-week Program that is scheduled to take place from July 10 till 28, 2017.The program is designed for students at FUE’s Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Faculty of Economics & Political Science, Faculty of Computers & Information Technology and the Faculty of Commerce & Business Administration. To live a full intercultural experience, our students will be joined by other international students from different countries. This year, we will be having two programs at UC, one for Social Sciences and the other for Technology & Entrepreneurship. -Students will be exempted from the Program’s tuition fees (i.e., US $ 6450). - Throughout the trip, students will be chaperoned by FUE professional staff. -Upon completion of the program, students will receive a certificate of completion from UC.About UC’s Summer ProgramsThe Program is designed to offer candidates with the know-how that gives them an edge in developing their "professional experience". Classes are held from Monday through Friday for six hours per day. * Social Sciences Program Week 1: International Human RightsThis course provides an overview of international human rights. Topics covered include political democracy, women’s rights, migrant and refugee rights, poverty and exploitation, and terrorism and war. We will debate whether human rights principles are truly universal and discuss how best to promote human rights compliance around the world. Week 2: E-CommerceThis course allows students to learn about online marketing and business methods using internet communications networks and other technologies to initiate, support, and build growth in business. Week 3: EntrepreneurshipThis course provides students with a foundation for enterprise creation, exploring issues like crafting a business plan, creating organizations in pursuit of your entrepreneurial objectives, effectively leading as an entrepreneur or member of a team, and evaluating new venture concepts. * Technology & Entrepreneurship ProgramWeek 1: EntrepreneurshipThis course provides students with a foundation for enterprise creation, exploring issues like crafting a business plan, creating organizations in pursuit of your entrepreneurial objectives, effectively leading as an entrepreneur or member of a team, and evaluating new venture concepts. Week 2: Sticky InnovationThis course incorporates documentary film, fiction, arts-based inquiry, scientific research, and modes of reflection to design creative solutions to a known biological problem. Integrating engineering and art, students will gain experience in modes of inquiry that will develop creative research approaches, problem solving skills, and innovative habits. Week 3: Intelligent Bio-Inspired RoboticsThis course provides students with an introduction to bio-inspired artificial intelligence to include decision making, machine learning and optimization. The basics of fuzzy logic and genetic algorithms will be covered, including utilization of MATLAB. Students will work in groups to develop and apply MATLAB code to a set of engineering problems. The UC's 3rd Summer3-week Program will also include visits to corporations, popular Cincinnati attractions such as Riverboat Cruise on the Ohio River, the Cincinnati Zoo, Reds Baseball Game, evening cultural events as well as guided tours of the City of Cincinnati.There will also be a welcome and a farewell dinner. ExpensesThe program costs $2000 that include:- On-campus full board accommodation (3 weeks) - SEVIS Fees for issuing F1 student Visa- On Campus Medical Insurance coverage till up to $50,000- Two cultural/social outings- On Campus Gym membership (3 weeks)- UC ID Card- Airport transfers in CincinnatiAnd does not include:- Flight tickets - Visa feesEligibility* English proficiency is a must.* Approval from your Faculty Dean who, in turn, will send you to the Director of International Affairs for a personal interview.* A Valid Passport To Apply-Contact your Faculty (FCBA Dr. Ghada Refaat, FET Dr. Mohamed Abdellatif, FEPS Dr. Salwa Mekky, and FCIT Dr. Ramadan Moawad) before the December 22nd 2016 application deadline.

Awareness CampaignSenior Business Students are conducting an Awareness Campaign as a fulfillment of Advertising and Promotion 2 Course Project. The students are raising awareness about four different causes; 1) Self Acceptance2) Profiling and Stereotyping3) Gender In-Equality4) Wanderlust ( Travel Culture) The students work on raising awareness about their causes using several events on campus under the supervision of Dr Heba Abdelwahab the module leader and Teaching Assistants Jaillan Sarhan and Gehad Hesham.
