Upon completion of the program, graduates should be able to satisfy the following professional criteria in a self-directed manner:

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of concepts and theories of basic applied and engineering sciences appropriate for mechanical engineering
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the basics of information and communication technology (ICT.)
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of mechanical engineering design, and planning
  • Acquire knowledge and understanding of different mechanical components and systems used in industries
  • Illustrate and describe solutions for different problems in various ways: verbally, graphically, using simulation, and developing prototypes
  • Identify different mechanical system structures and execution design methods, and techniques
  • Identify the different elements of the natural environment, different energy types, appropriate environmental control techniques, and different technical installations affecting mechanical systems
  • Understand physical and computer modeling, simulation, rendering, and presentation techniques
