Our mission is to provide students with the tools necessary to solve architectural engineering problems, critical to our society's well-being. This will be accomplished through a comprehensive, forward-looking, and broad-based architectural engineering curriculum, emphasizing fundamentals, practical applications, oral and written communication skills, computer application skills, and professional practice issues, and ethics. The program will prepare graduates for entry into the architectural engineering profession, for lifelong learning, and to function as architectural engineers in a global society.

To develop an effective and stimulating environment for teaching, learning and research in architecture
To maintain, and continue to enrich, a program that provides high quality professional education in architecture
To provide post-professional research-based masters and PhD programs that advance the discipline of architecture
To engage in research and other professional and scholarly activities that achieve national and international recognition, in order to advance architectural knowledge in education and practice
To contribute to interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary teaching and research programs with other universities, local, and international
To serve the public by working with citizens' groups, and local, provincial, and national governments, the private sector, and with the profession toward the general improvement of the built environment
The main vision of the Department of Architectural Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology is to graduate qualified and well-trained architects, planners, and interior designers who are capable of competing and establishing a distinctive role between architects on both local and global scales.
