Program Aims

To prepare graduates to become professionals who approach architecture as a broad, humanistic, and scientific discipline, and who understand the architectural process as a synthesis of analytical thinking, social needs, technical know-how, and environmental considerations
The program is designed to fulfill the following attributes to its graduates of architecture: 
  • Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering concepts to the solution of architectural problems
  • Acquire critical and scientific thinking that helps in identifying problems, evaluating decisions, formulating and communicating ideas and in creatively solving architectural and engineering problems
  • Identify society's needs and understand how society thinks, and determine the impact of architectural and engineering decisions and solutions on society, and on the environment
  • Manage architectural and engineering projects, taking into consideration the surrounding environment in terms of trends, site conditions, landscape, building regulations, legislations, and economic standards
  • Display professional responsibilities and ethical, societal and cultural concerns
  • Understand current and latest technologies in building and design
  • Choose technologies which are suitable for our culture in terms of climate and traditions
  • Design and plan buildings and strategies for development, and urbanization
  • Work efficiently, and communicate effectively, within multi-disciplinary teams
