Summer Professional Orientation ProgramAfter the great success of the University of Cincinnati’s (UC) 1st and 2nd Summer Professional Orientation Programs, also known as UC Summer Program, FUE has the pleasure to announce UC's 3rd Summer 3-week Program that is scheduled to take place from July 10 till 28, 2017.The program is designed for students at FUE’s Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Faculty of Economics & Political Science, Faculty of Computers & Information Technology and the Faculty of Commerce & Business Administration. To live a full intercultural experience, our students will be joined by other international students from different countries. This year, we will be having two programs at UC, one for Social Sciences and the other for Technology & Entrepreneurship. -Students will be exempted from the Program’s tuition fees (i.e., US $ 6450). - Throughout the trip, students will be chaperoned by FUE professional staff. -Upon completion of the program, students will receive a certificate of completion from UC.About UC’s Summer ProgramsThe Program is designed to offer candidates with the know-how that gives them an edge in developing their "professional experience". Classes are held from Monday through Friday for six hours per day. * Social Sciences Program Week 1: International Human RightsThis course provides an overview of international human rights. Topics covered include political democracy, women’s rights, migrant and refugee rights, poverty and exploitation, and terrorism and war. We will debate whether human rights principles are truly universal and discuss how best to promote human rights compliance around the world. Week 2: E-CommerceThis course allows students to learn about online marketing and business methods using internet communications networks and other technologies to initiate, support, and build growth in business. Week 3: EntrepreneurshipThis course provides students with a foundation for enterprise creation, exploring issues like crafting a business plan, creating organizations in pursuit of your entrepreneurial objectives, effectively leading as an entrepreneur or member of a team, and evaluating new venture concepts. * Technology & Entrepreneurship ProgramWeek 1: EntrepreneurshipThis course provides students with a foundation for enterprise creation, exploring issues like crafting a business plan, creating organizations in pursuit of your entrepreneurial objectives, effectively leading as an entrepreneur or member of a team, and evaluating new venture concepts. Week 2: Sticky InnovationThis course incorporates documentary film, fiction, arts-based inquiry, scientific research, and modes of reflection to design creative solutions to a known biological problem. Integrating engineering and art, students will gain experience in modes of inquiry that will develop creative research approaches, problem solving skills, and innovative habits. Week 3: Intelligent Bio-Inspired RoboticsThis course provides students with an introduction to bio-inspired artificial intelligence to include decision making, machine learning and optimization. The basics of fuzzy logic and genetic algorithms will be covered, including utilization of MATLAB. Students will work in groups to develop and apply MATLAB code to a set of engineering problems. The UC's 3rd Summer3-week Program will also include visits to corporations, popular Cincinnati attractions such as Riverboat Cruise on the Ohio River, the Cincinnati Zoo, Reds Baseball Game, evening cultural events as well as guided tours of the City of Cincinnati.There will also be a welcome and a farewell dinner. Unconventional Hydrocarbon ResourcePetroleum Engineering WorkshopFaculty of Engineering & Technology, Petroleum Engineering Department, is conducting a workshop on “Unconventional Hydrocarbon Resource” Focusing on Egypt potential. The workshop is scheduled as a full day event on March 28th 2017. The workshop will be attended by the Major Oil and Service companies operating in Egypt. This is in part of community transfer of knowledge and internship between Faculty of Engineering & Technology and the Petroleum industry.

Future University of Egypt Partners with Telecom Egypt to Support Electronics and Telecommunications Students
Cairo.. March 2017: As part of FUE's ongoing commitment to supporting the development of their students, the university recently collaborated with “Telecom Egypt” to create a workshop for fourth year electronics and telecommunications engineering students, in the field of voice over internet protocol technology (VOIP). The workshop, which focused on five exceptional students, was hosted under the supervision of Dr. Waleed Eid Hefny and Ahmed Saeed, from the Electrical Engineering Department.Talking about the importance of the workshop, Dr. Obada Sarhan, the President of FUE, said "The University committed to continuous enrichment of our students and the calibers that will support the future development of the country. These types of workshops are an important way to strengthen the skills of Egyptian youth ensuring we qualify them for the market and provide them with the foundation as well as the latest industry updates." The workshop which allowed students to interact with the regional representative of Grand Stream Company included an introduction to the VoIP system, focusing on its important role in Unified Communications. It also included a detailed presentation on the properties, characteristics and potential of the new phones, IP phones and IP PBX as well as how to use them on the commercial level; targeting employees and organizations. During the workshop the modernization of some modern services such as call tracing, voice mail and meeting invites through conference calling was also discussed in depth.
