Faculty of Engineering and Technology Overview
The primary goal of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Future University is to prepare undergraduates who have the ability to contribute productively to their profession upon graduation. To accomplish that objective, the faculty provides students the most current curricula supported by the latest technology. Our students receive a strong foundation in one of the world’s fastest progressing fields. To add further depth to their training, our students study the efficient use of computers and become familiar with the latest technologies in communication, computation and design. This rigorous program is supported by a highly qualified faculty and staff with expertise to effectively present material using modern teaching methods.
To be recognized nationally and internationally for education, research, and leadership to the engineering profession. The strategic characteristics and aspirations will enable the College to realize its vision by providing an atmosphere that facilitates personal commitment to the educational success of students in an environment that values diversity and community. Education and research partnerships with health sciences, business, and other related colleges, and with targeted agencies, universities, and industries help us to insure highly successful alumni who contribute to the profession in the global society. Resource management and contemporary and rigorous undergraduate curricula prepare graduates for successful careers. Research and advanced problem solving needed to address complex, interdisciplinary engineering problems assist our vision. Research programs with strong support from professional constituencies have to meet society’s needs in order that we can be recognized as leadership in advancing the engineering profession.
The main mission of the faculty of Engineering and Technology from its inception would be to provide the opportunity of learning engineering sciences and technical applications that are of high quality. This would be provided for all students from all over Egypt, the neighboring Arab countries and other nations, who fulfill the acceptance requirements of the Supreme Council of Egyptian universities. In addition, the faculty would also participate in developing engineering and technical applications in Egypt.
The aim of the faculty would be to achieve professional excellence for its graduates through the continuous development of the educational programs, upgrading the laboratories and providing them with the state of art, faculty members and equipment. Faculty members are highly capable of utilizing the latest Educational technology, updating methods in teaching as well as pursuing high quality research work.
Our Objective is to prepare graduates that are specialized in different fields of engineering, technical and applied science to help society in the different specializations. Also, contribute in research covering different fields of engineering. Our research may participate in the future planning through setting development strategies for continuous development of educational programs that assessing the performance.
Engineering and Technology offers a wide variety of undergraduate engineering degrees, each of which prepares our students to be successful professionals in areas in demand both nationally and internationally. Our students graduate ready to enter the work force and make exemplary contributions to their chosen field.
The Faculty endorses the following objectives.
Prepare graduates who receive excellent preparation in their selected areas of specialization.
Conduct valuable research that contributes to the profession and society.
Seek to continually improve and, when necessary, change to meet the evolving needs of society.
Assess the success of existing programs for the purpose of planning for continuous improvement
Assist graduates in finding optimal job opportunities.
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology includes the following departments.

All Faculties, including Engineering, embrace the University’s mission to “promote an atmosphere that values intellectual curiosity, the pursuit of knowledge, and academic freedom and integrity.” To achieve this mission, certain pillars of an FUE education are embedded in the curriculum of all Faculties. These competencies or “pillars of an FUE education” include the following:
Critical thinking: objective analysis and evaluation of information and concepts from multiple perspectives.
Knowledge Integration: application and synthesis of information and concepts from diverse disciplines.
Effective Communication: strong facility in oral and written communication; use of visual resources and technology for communication.
Social Responsibility: respectful and civil treatment of others; active participation in civil and democratic institutions; protection of the environment and intelligent use of natural resources.
Together with information literacy, the pillars prepare our graduates to be productive members of society who value lifelong learning.
All programs in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology require the successful completion of five years (ten semesters) for obtaining the Bachelor’s Degree. In addition to the two regular semesters of each school year, students may choose to complete from 12 to 21 credit hours in summer courses to lessen the load required during the regular semesters or to enrich their education with additional elective courses. Note that no student may exceed the number of credit hours allowed per semester or take fewer than the minimum allowed without the permission of the dean and consultation with the academic advisor.
