To combine theory with practice, the educational philosophy of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology calls for utilizing the real environment as an open text book. This is achieved by conducting several field trips to selected sites: |

|
1. A trip for all faculty students to the factory of "The Engineering Company for Mufflers (Exhausters) Industry" at 6th of October City. 2. A trip for architecture engineering students to several construction sites in New Cairo (Al Tagamo Al Khames, Al Rehab). 3. A trip for electronics and communication engineering students to "The International Company for Electrical Apparatuses, Bahgat Group" at 6th of October City. 4. A trip for architecture engineering students to visit the car show rooms of the Egyptian Company for Commerce (Honda) at New Cairo City, Volks-Wagen and Audi at Obour City. Trip sites are selected to have students practice their knowledge in actual sites of special building types; in this case; car show rooms. 5. A trip for architecture engineering students to Alexandria Library and the Roman Museum. 6. A trip for architecture students to the Al-Rehab City Mall, to study the building type. 7. A trip to all Structural students to the new free highway of Cairo-Airport and the new runway. Students, along with their Professor, visited the new tunnels of the Autostrad and Suez having inlet to the new highway and the new bridges, then they attended a seminar about the on-going construction of the new airport's runway. 8. A trip to all architecture students to the new Terminal (3) Building of Cairo Airport. Students, along with their Professors, visited the Departure and the Arrival Halls, then they visited the Satellite building and attended a seminar about the execution of the new Watching Tower. 9. Trips to architectural students to Fatimid Cairo and Old Cairo. |
