5- Petroleum Engineering Department

Petroleum engineering is an engineering discipline concerned with the activities related to the production of hydrocarbons, which can be either crude oil or natural gas. Exploration, producing, refining and distribution to a market are the industries related to this high technical engineering profession.  Petroleum engineering requires a good knowledge of many other related disciplines, such as geophysics, petroleum geology, formation evaluation (well logging), drilling, economics, reservoir simulation, well engineering, artificial lift systems, and oil and gas facilities engineering.

FUE is one of the very few universities in Egypt providing an education in Petroleum Engineering

6-  Biomedical Engineering Department

 Biomedical engineering is the application of engineering principles and design concepts to medicine and biology. It combines the design and problem solving skills of engineering with medical and biological sciences to improve healthcare diagnosis, monitoring and therapy by way of technology. Biomedical engineering has only recently emerged as its own discipline, compared to many other more established engineering fields. The Department of Biomedical Engineering serves the university, the community, and the biomedical engineering profession through education, research and design activities. The department offers innovative educational programs that integrate biological sciences and engineering, and apply engineering tools, methods and practices to solve problems and make advances in biology and medicine.
