Moreover, it enables the students to use computers efficiently as well as the latest technologies in communication, computation and design. The Faculty has hosted a number of AUC students of architecture along with their professors to visit and study the buildings of the University.
A field visit was organized by LEONI (LEONI is a global supplier of wires, optical fibres, cables systems as well as related development services for applications in the automotive business and other industries. The group of companies which is based in Germany employs around 56.000 people in over 80 locations in 34 countries). Several points were discussed as how to better support FUE students with summer internships, recruitment and field visits in order to link practical life with theoretical studies. Also, LEONI is participating as a Golden sponsor in FUE Annual Employment Fair 2012 that is going to be held by May 13th, in order to better interact with students. FUE Representatives from Faculty of Engineering were Dr. Abu Elela Mohamed Abu Elnaga (Vice Dean), Dr. Kamel Mohamed Hassan (Head of Electrical Engineering), Dr. Tarek Abdel Rahman (Professor, Department of Mechanics), Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Rasheed (Professor, Department of Mechanics), and Mr. Mahmoud Abdel Khalek (Training & benefits Coordinator)

A seminar about various students activities has been conducted by a group of engineering students of Ain-Shams University under the supervision of the director of the social committee of Ain-Shams University students union. The seminar was attended by students and staff members from FUE faculties and a follow up of the outcome of this seminar is under development. |

A seminar titled "Welcome to the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE)" has been presented by Prof. Dr. Samir Shahin Dean of Faculty of Engineering Cairo University, and Prof. Dr. Nevine Darwish Director of student activities in IEEE society, and Eng. Nahel Omera Director of Activities for IEEE GOLD society. This was attended by engineering and computer science students along with distinguished visitors from the faculties of engineering of different Universities. |

A seminar titled "New Innovations in Bridges Construction" has been presented by Dr. Hisham Arafat; consultant of The Ministry of Transportation for bridge engineering and Member of the Egyptian Code of Design and Construction of Bridges. This was attended by a number of Deans and Vice-Deans, civil engineering professors of the faculty of engineering at several Egyptian universities and senior engineers and experts in bridges and roads construction. A seminar titled "Electrical Energy in Egypt, the Present and the Future" presented by H.E. Dr. Hassan Younis, the Minister of Electricity. The seminar was attended by many staff members from FUE as well as Teaching Assistants and students from different Faculties of the University, and other Egyptian Universities, and consultant engineers. |
