Future University Dental Hospital is designed to provide comprehensive, hands on training that enables students to learn the latest techniques in global dentistry while fully serving the dental care needs of the community. The 5 story 13,500 m2 hospital facility accommodates all the necessary departments, staff and equipment needed to provide the highest quality education and dental services available in Egypt today.

Clinics

Our facility is designed to accommodate 200 fully-equipped dental units, which are distributed among seven clinics.

	Five large clinics; two of each are fully functional whilst the remaining three clinics are currently under construction. One of these clinics will be designated to serve different residency programs. An additional 3-unit dental clinic is also available for diagnostic and minor surgical procedures. A five-unit dental clinic is assigned to continuing education
Each clinic is independently appointed with its own nursing staff, sterilization, dental x-ray and filing units.

Laboratories

With the very wide range of our curriculum comes the need for many laboratories each serving different areas of the undergraduate and postgraduate dental education.

The hospital contains eighteen fully equipped laboratories with a capacity of 25 students each, serving all basic sciences and medical courses (Physical and organic Chemistry, Physics, Botany and genetics, Zoology, Biochemistry and Physiology). These labs are all located on one level for easy access and for better circulation of the students during the preclinical phase of their training.

Pre-clinical simulation labs, each equipped with forty manikin heads, are available for students to practice and improve their hand skills (e.g. Operative dentistry, Fixed Prosthodontics and Endodontics). During the preclinical phase the students practice almost all specialties on simulators to help them gain the knowledge, experience and skills needed before they begin work on actual patients.

Two labs with a capacity of 40 students each are designated for the preclinical courses of Biomaterials and Removable Prosthodontics.  In these labs the students learn the physical properties of the materials used in dentistry in addition to the preclinical level of Prosthodontics Three dry laboratories with microscopes will sustain a capacity of 50 students. Each laboratory is designated for Oral Histology, Oral Pathology, General Pathology and General Histology. Three dental technology labs staffed with highly qualified and trained technicians. They are fully equipped to do all the acrylic, precious metals and porcelain prosthesis and augmented with highly trained dental technicians to assist and serve the dental education and training of our interns.

The hospital is equipped with the latest dental technology to ensure the patient receives the best care while providing the student with experience in the utilization of modern techniques and equipment.

Note: All x-ray units are network connected to facilitate data base insertion, sharing, and management.

School Facilities

Undergraduate dental education is a blend of many sciences, hence the need for a diverse range of lecture halls, laboratories, clinics and specialized centers.

Lecture halls

There are six lecture halls with a capacity of 120 students each, fully equipped with all audio-visual teaching facilities with connections to data networks and striving to meet all educational needs of the student.

Anatomy Department

Anatomy is an essential science for dental studies, hence the anatomy department is well appointed with cadavers and plastic samples necessary for the educational process.
