Future University in Egypt is seeking to appoint a Head for its English Language Department. The English Language Department at FUE is a service department ensuring that students have the necessary language skills to be able to function within FUE academic environment as well as serving the community in terms of language courses for adults. The post holder will lead on all technical and academic aspects related to the English language department in order to position the department as a leading English language department in the private university sector within Egypt. Specific job responsibilities are attached. 

The successful applicant will have an MA in TESOL/TEFL or a DELTA qualification is essential. A PhD in a relevant field is desirable. She/he will have a proven track record of a minimum of 7 years of managing and delivering English language teaching operations, people and project management experience is essential. Work experience within an academic context, knowledge of standards and frameworks, of assessment practices, of e-learning is highly desirable. Essential skills include: strong organizational and time management skills, ability to delegate, a team leader and player, excellent communication and interpersonal skills is essential. An ability to manage a number of interrelated and often conflicting demands with patience is also essential. Desirable skills include: excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic statistics.
