Course Description

The aim of the course is to provide the attendees with the most up-to-date information about adhesive systems, how to be successfully used and the fundamental esthetic principals for the multilayer building up to fractured anterior tooth using composite resin restoration.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, the participant will be able to:

  • Perform shade selection and color mapping.
  • Discuss the importance of underlying tooth structure in producing life-like direct esthetic restorations
  • Discuss the concepts of translucency and opacity for placement of direct esthetic restoration
  • Perform successful bonding to tooth structure using current adhesive systems
  • Carry out successful bonding to tooth structure using current adhesive systems
  • Place in a timely fashion direct anterior esthetic restorations in a simulated conditioner
  • Employ direct lingual index technique for building class IV composite.
  • Use finishing and polishing techniques for achieving enamel-like surface texture
