Director, Professional Affairs for the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) in Washington, DC. BPS is an autonomous division of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) and recognizes pharmacy specialties and certifies pharmacists’ knowledge and skills at the advanced practice level. Lawson is the primary staff liaison to BPS-approved professional development providers and works with stakeholders to establish and maintain BPS certification as the recognized gold standard. He represents BPS as a member of the Board of Directors for the Pharmacy Workforce Center, and an Alternate Director for the Council in Credentialing in Pharmacy. Dr. Lawson is adjunct professor at West Virginia University and the President of the School of Pharmacy Alumni Association.
