Dr. Mohamed L. Ashour is associate professor of pharmacognosy, Ain Shams University. He finished his PhD in 2010 in Institute of Pharmacy and Molecular Biotechnology (Heidelberg, Germany). He joined two post doctor fellowships, Institute of Pharmacy and Molecular Biotechnology, Heidelberg, Germany and Faculty of Pharmacy and Biosciences, Innsbruck University, Austria in 2012 and 2016 for 6 months each. He published more than 35 international publications (research articles, review articles, book chapters) He is a reviewer of more than 25 peer-review journals and an editorial member for 5 international journals. His main research interest is in the field of pharmacognosy, phytotherapy and phytochemistry with special emphasis on isolation, structure elucidation and biological screening of secondary metabolites from plants and marine organisms in addition to application of molecular modelling and multivariate analysis in natural products research.
