    Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Adel Sakr
    Workshop Chair
    Board of Trustees Chair Advisor/Assistant for Graduate Studies, Research and International Affairs of Future University, Egypt. Dr. Adel Sakr is Emeritus Professor of Industrial Pharmacy & Pharmaceutics, and Director of the Industrial Pharmacy Graduate Program at the College of Pharmacy, University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Dr. Sakr’s primary areas of interest include the design and optimization of immediate and modified release tablet formulation and manufacturing processes. He has more than 50 years of international academic and industrial experience, more than 200 internationally published research papers and has presented more than 500 conference presentations, invited presentations and/or workshops. Dr. Sakr is an elected Fellow of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and the International Federation of Pharmacy. He is a Graduate Fellow of the University of Cincinnati and the recipient of the Distinguished Faculty Achievement Award of the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Sakr is Emeritus Congress Chair, FIP Industrial Pharmacy Section, and the recipient of the 2008 AAPS Outstanding Educator Award and the 2011 AAPS Distinguished Research Achievement Award in Manufacturing Science and Engineering.

    Dr. Marcus Knöll
    Workshop Vice Chair
    pharmacist and graduated from Philipps Universität Marburg/Germany. He accomplished his doctoral thesis "Enteric coated Mucoadhesive Micropellets in Rotary Agglomeration Process for Wet Spheronization“(2002-2005). He is Head of Pharma Service at BOSCH-Hüttlin, Schopfheim, Germany since 2005 with six coworkers.

    Dr. Nicolas Madit
    Workshop Vice Chair
    After Graduating in chemical engineering from Montpellier, Nicolas completed his studies with a PhD in organic and polymer sciences. At Ciba-Geigy, he synthesized a new copolymer used as a specific transportation vector for drugs in the body. Nicolas started his industrial career in the ink jet printing industry where he developed one of the first specific water based ink used for dying PVC floor by inkjet printing and reducing the environmental impact of solvents currently used in ink. At Capsugel, he is working now for 25 years beginning as a research engineer and evolved in different departments from formulation, to Licaps production and now as Business development manager. During his career Nicolas was the author of several articles and filed patents in gelatin composition, pharmaceutical formulation and dietary supplement products.

    Professor Dr. Ibrahim Khattab
    Received his Ph.D. from University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, 1994. He has more than 20 years of academic experience in several universities including Kuwait University. In addition to his academic work, he worked as a consultant for several pharmaceutical companies. He published more than 100 original manuscripts and presentations to national and international conferences. His areas of expertise and research involve Pharmaceutical Product Development, Fluid-bed Technology, Artificial Neural Network, Experimental Design and Data Analysis. Recently, he joined Kuwait Saudi Pharmaceutical Ind. Co. as the Plant Manager.

    Prof. Dr. Sven Stegemann
    Director for Pharmaceutical Business Development at Capsugel since 1997. In September 2014 he joined the Graz University of Technology in Austria as a Professor for Patient Centric Drug Product Design and Manufacturing. Prof. Stegemann is a pharmacist by training and holds a PhD in pharmacology. He started his career at Sanofi-Aventis working in different roles of the pharmaceutical product development and manufacturing cycle. Before joining Capsugel he worked for Asta Medica where he was responsible for product licensing. In his position at the Graz University of Technology he will focus his scientific research on the rational development of patient centric drug products and their manufacturing technologies as well as education and training of students and young scientists.

    Dr. Erich Sturzenegger
    Senior Portfolio Manager, TechOps Pharma Novartis, Switzerland and has held several positions of increasing responsibility since joining Novartis in 1986. He was Global Product Leader for two Biosimilar monoclonal antibody Sandoz projects, till he assumed his current position. Dr. Erich Sturzenegger is a Fellow of the Swiss Society of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Honorary member Swiss Society of Industrial Pharmacists and Former ExCo Member Industrial Pharmacy Section of FIP.

    Dr. Bianca Broegmann
    Pharmacist with a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Technology and is currently Global Marketing Director Oral Excipients at Evonik Nutrition & Care GmbH. During the last 30 years of industrial experience she held various positions like Technical Customer Service and Head of Pharmaceutical Development for Innovator and Generic companies. She was nominated for 2 years as Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati, USA and is Qualified Person according to German AMG, received a diploma in Chronopharmacology and is a Certified Pricing Professional. Areas of expertise are development of controlled release dosage forms, semisolids and inhalation.

    Ms. Anastasiya Zakhvatayeva
    received her Degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Bologna in 2013. She is currently employed as specialised technologist at Process Development R&D Laboratory in IMA Active Division. Her work is mainly focused on the optimization of tableting process applied to pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products.

    Mr. Andreas Nüßle
    Studied mechanical engineering with the specialization in materials sciences and surface technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Aalen (Germany). After being exposed to an international study and trainee period he joined the company Bosch in the year 2012. Since 2012 he is the responsible Area Manager for the product portfolio of Capsule Filling and Capsule Inspection Technology in the region Middle East, Africa, Turkey and India.

    Mr. Georg Niebch
    Head of Business Development at Alexanderwerk, Germany. He graduated from the University of Cologne, Germany. Prior to his current position, he was working as Project Manager and Sales Manager for European machine manufacturers in Hong Kong, China. Georg Niebch is responsible for Alexanderwerk Sales in Africa, the Middle East, Russia and Scandinavia.

    Mr. Ulrich Marcher
    Mr. Ulrich Marcher is Area Manager at pharmaceutical Lactose manufacturer Meggle, based at their headquarters in Wasserburg, Germany. He studied Food Technology and specialized on Process and Particle Engineering at the University of Applied Science in Weihenstephan (Germany). After 2 years as Project Manager in the UK, he joined Meggle in 2010 as Technical Manager for pharmaceutical excipients. A second degree in Business Administration, was completed while working, and became the basis for a subsequent position as Area Manager in 2014, in which he is responsible for Sales in Africa, Austria, Czech Republic, Israel, Italy, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland.

    Mr. Simon Cashmore
    Process Scientist at Bosch Hüttlin Germany. He studied Industrial Pharmaceutical Science and Applied Chemistry at Liverpool John Moores University, England. He joined Bosch-Manesty, Liverpool, England and then moved to his current position at Bosch-Hüttlin, Schopfheim, Germany as a Process Scientist concentrating on the development of Tablet Coating Technology along with providing process support and optimization for Fluid bed and High-Shear systems.
