Future University In Egypt (FUE)

Required General Documents

  • Original Secondary school certificate(s). (Certified photocopies are not accepted)
  • Original birth certificate
  • Copy of national ID (Egyptian students only) or Passport
  • A photocopy of legal guardian’s national ID or passport
  • New Twelve passport-size photos with white background
  • Proof of twelve years of schooling has been required since 2010. Three of the years must be completed after Preparatory School Certificate (Grade 9). If the schooling has been undertaken in a foreign country, the stamp of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo is required along with the school stamp, the stamp of the educational zone, and the stamp of the Egyptian Embassy in that foreign country.
  • Military form Istimara 2, 6 Gond (Egyptian males only)
  • Official university transcript with stamped course description (Transfer applicants only).

The University will not be held responsible for the registration of students with missing original documents submitted after the announced deadlines. 

Equivalent School Certificate Requirement

British Secondary School Certificate (IGCSE,GCSE, ASL or AL)

  • The official transcript must include a minimum of eight IGSCE/GCSE Ordinary Level (OL) subjects.
  • The Faculties of Engineering and Informatics and Computer Science require one 'AS' Level or an 'A' Level in mathematics.
    The maximum number of 'AS' Level or 'A' Level subjects that are counted are: 
  • Two 'A' Level subjects or
  • Four 'AS' Level subjects or
  • One 'A' Level subject and two 'AS' Level subjects.

Note: General Science, Physical Education, Military Sciences, Music, Classical Arabic, and Arabic as a Second Language are not accepted as one of the eight required subjects for admission.

Applicants must provide the following:

1. Certificates of completion of eight OL subjects with a minimum grade of C or seven subjects at OL at a minimum grade of C plus one subject at AL or ASL with a minimum grade of D.

2. IGCSE slips that must be stamped and verified by the British Council only (No other stamp can replace the British Council stamp) and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo.

3. Preparatory Certificate, or other proof of nine years of education, stamped by the school, and certified by the educational zone to which the school belongs, If the verification of twelve years of schooling is obtained from a foreign country, the stamp of the Egyptian embassy in that country is required and the stamp of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo  in addition to the stamp of the General Directorate for Examinations. 

American High School Diploma

  • The official transcript must include eight subjects of at least one credit each.
  • A maximum of four subjects must have been passed in Grade 12 and a maximum of two subjects may have been passed in Grade 10.
  • SAT I with a minimum score of 800.
  • SAT II with a minimum score of 900 is optional.
    The applicant must provide the following: 
  • Final high school transcript stamped by the school and certified by the Egyptian Embassy or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cairo.
  • The official transcript must show a minimum of eight courses (one credit each), including the qualifying subjects for a chosen faculty.
  • Diploma stamped by the school (Relevant US institution) and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo and for Egyptian schools must be stamp from the General Directorate for Examinations.
  • Official SAT I scores stamped by AMID-EAST and foreign affairs.
  • Preparatory Certificate and evidence that the student has attended three years of schooling after grade 10 or comparable proof of 12 years of schooling.
  • An accreditation letter from AMID-EAST is required for an American Diploma obtained from any country other than Egypt or the US.
  • SAT I with minimum score of 800 (new system).
  • SAT II is optional with a minimum score of 900.

German Abitur

  • Grade 12 must have been completed.
  • The official transcript must include seven subjects, one of which is English language, with a minimum score of 3.

Canadian High School Diploma

  • The official transcript must include eight subjects with a maximum of three subjects passed in Grade 11 and the remainder passed in Grade 12.
  • SAT II with a minimum score of 900 is optional.

The French Secondary School (Baccalauréat de l'Enseignement Secondaire)

  • The official transcript must include seven subjects, one of which is English language.
  • Applicants must submit the certificate showing scores obtained (at least the minimum pass rate) and must satisfy the qualifying subjects required by each faculty. Applications will be processed according to the University's general admission evaluation criteria.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

  • The official transcript must include six subjects, one of which is English language.
  • Applicants must have completed and satisfied the general requirements of the Baccalaureate. The applicant must also have obtained the qualifying subjects for admission to the University's various faculties.
  • “The Extended Essay” and “Theory of Knowledge” must have been completed (not counted as one of the six subjects) with a minimum of twenty-four points.

Other Foreign Certificates

Future University accepts other equivalent secondary school certificates accredited by The Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities and other relevant authorities. Please contact the  niversity Admissions Office for any related inquiries.
 

Faculty Subject Requirements

    Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Pharmaceutical Industries, Faculty of Oral & Dental Medicine: 
  • English language or English literature
  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology
  • Physics
  • Any three additional subjects
    Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Computers and Information Technology: 
  • English language or English literature
  • Mathematics
  • Advanced mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Any four additional subjects
    Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration and Faculty of Economics and Political Science: 
  • English language or English literature
  • Five Basic subjects, selected from economics, business studies, French, German, mathematics, sociology, psychology, consumer mathematics, accounting, statistics, chemistry, physics, biology, geography, global studies, history, philosophy, logic, social studies, U.S. government, and computer studies.
  • Any additional two other subjects.

English Placement Test

All new students applying for admission to the University must sit for the English Placement Test (EPT). Students will be placed in an English language course according to their scores. Students should be aware that the English Placement Test (EPT) is a provisional assessment only, and students may be asked to move up or down a level at the discretion of an instructor.

Students holding a valid international TOEFL certificate with an equivalent score of 550 and above are exempt from the EPT. 

Requirements for Transfer Students

    Transfer from other universities 
  • Transfer students must fulfill FUE admission requirements, including having attained the High School Certificate with a score complying with the regulations of the Supreme Council of Egyptian Private Universities for the year during which the certificate was obtained.
  • Students must submit official transcripts of completed courses taken at an accredited university, with detailed course descriptions and verification of the credit hours and grades achieved.
  • Upon final acceptance at FUE, students will be requested to submit a letter from their previous university confirming their withdrawal.
  • Courses that are to be transferred must be substantially the same in both content and quality to the FUE courses, subject to the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education.
    Transferring from one FUE Faculty to Another 
  • Transfer from any FUE faculty to another is available only within the first two weeks of the semester during the Drop/Add period.
  • Students who wish to transfer from one faculty to another must obtain the approval of both the Dean and the academic advisor. The student’s score should be compatible with the score required by the faculty he or she wants to join.

Classification of Students

A student who has earned fewer than thirty semester hours of faculty credit is classified as a freshman. A student who has earned thirty or more hours is classified as a sophomore. 

Academic Transcripts

An official transcript of university credits, bearing the university seal and the signature of the University President, is a record of the student’s academic achievement. A student may obtain copies of his or her transcript by written, faxed or personal request to the Admission Office at Future University’s campus. The request must include full legal name, dates of attendance, student national cleared before an official transcript will be released.
