Future University in Egypt (FUE) proudly continues its journey toward global academic excellence with a new milestone: inclusion in the U.S. News & World Report 2025–2026 Best Global Universities Ranking, published by Clarivate Analytics. This honor reaffirms FUE’s commitment to international standards, forward-thinking leadership, and a learning environment shaped by innovation and research.
Over the past years, FUE has taken bold steps to elevate its academic presence both locally and globally. These efforts have now been recognized through several key placements in this prestigious ranking. Not only has FUE secured a place among the Top 1000 universities worldwide, but it has also emerged as the #1 private university in Egypt, affirming its leadership in the private education sector.
Among all Egyptian institutions featured, FUE proudly ranks 15th nationally, reflecting its steady rise and the growing trust in its educational model. On the continental level, the university was named the #30 best global university in Africa, strengthening its role as a hub for quality education in the region.
Globally, FUE's impact is also evident in its position as the #755 best university in the world—a testament to the university’s strategic approach to research, innovation, and global engagement. Within the specialized field of engineering, FUE has earned a distinguished rank of #351 worldwide, highlighting the outstanding performance and contributions of its Faculty of Engineering.
These rankings are not just statistics. They are the story of a university that dared to grow beyond borders, nurtured its academic community, and invested in meaningful research and international partnerships. They reflect the vision of a university that believes in shaping future-ready graduates and pushing boundaries in higher education.
FUE’s achievement also contributes to Egypt’s rising presence in global academia. The number of Egyptian universities listed in the U.S. News ranking has increased from 19 in 2023 to 27 in 2025, with 22 of them now among the Top 1000. Most of these institutions have advanced by over 100 positions—evidence of an upward national trend in academic performance.
To be included, universities must either be ranked in the Top 250 in global reputation surveys or have published at least 1,250 research papers between 2019 and 2023.
Egypt’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has played a pivotal role in this progress by supporting innovation, internationalization, and sustainable development strategies. Platforms like the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB) have provided researchers with access to critical global resources, accelerating publication and visibility on the world stage.
As FUE celebrates this recognition, it also looks ahead—with renewed ambition—to continue building a future-focused university rooted in excellence, collaboration, and a global outlook. Because at Future University in Egypt, the future isn’t a destination—it’s a mission we pursue every day.
