Course Description

This course introduces trainees to PL/SQL and helps them understand the benefits of this powerful programming language. Trainees learn to create PL/SQL blocks of application codes that can be shared by multiple forms, reports, and data management applications. Trainees get to create anonymous PL/SQL blocks and are introduced to stored procedures and functions. They learn about declaring variables, trapping exceptions and they also learn how to declare and control cursors. This course introduces the trainee to the main concepts of Oracle Reports Developer. Trainees get to design reports and retrieve, display, and format data in numerous reporting styles as well as publish the output. Adding dynamic content to a static Web page, publishing reports on the Web, customizing complex reports, and embed charts are also included. This course is presented in an intensive workshop format where participants absorb the complex topics of object hierarchies, frame hierarchies, field-level control of report output and many other subjects.
