Course Description

The course covers the up to date antennas (narrow, wide and ultra-wide band) theory and design in different bands (LF, MF, VHF, UHF, etc.…) the participants will be able to analyze, design and measure various antenna. Simulation of the results will be conducted to compare real measurement and simulation results.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, the participant will be able to:

Choose the proper antenna for the communication system
Evaluate the antenna parameters (field pattern, directivity, gain, beam width)
Measure the field pattern and gain of different antennas and side lobe level
Design antenna using available software
Differentiate between near zero and far zero fields
Understand operation of wide band antenna
Use vector network analyzer to measure antenna parameter
