Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, the participant will be able to:

• Identify different parts of the surgical microscope and its mechanism of action
• Get acquainted with the operator's different positions during the use of the microscope for different teeth
• Perform a proper access cavity preparation using the microscope
• Identify extra canals and how to locate them using ultrasonic
• Use a manual and rotary crown down approach during cleaning and shaping and how to judge canal cleanliness
• Change his/her method of obturation from lateral to vertical compaction and thermo-plasticized techniques
