Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, the participant will be able to:

• Demonstrate a basic understanding of the anatomical considerations related to dental implant placement in the maxillary and mandibular arches
• Evaluate the different factors contributing to the implant rehabilitation
• Perform individual case assessment and surgical guide fabrication
• Make a radiographic examination and give an interpretation
• List the steps of implant site osteotomy
• Received a hands on training on the different components of the dental implant system, drilling in Styrofoam models with subsequent implant placement and demonstration on the subsequent prosthetic steps
• Discuss implant maintenance
• Use impression techniques
• Make an occlusion adjustment
• Handle complications and failure of dental implants
• Undergo live surgical and prosthetic demonstrations (about 10 implants)
