By the end of the course, the participant will be able to:

• Perform shade selection and color mapping
• Discuss the importance of underlying tooth structure in producing life-like direct esthetic restorations.
• Discuss the concepts of translucency and opacity for placement of direct esthetic restoration
• Perform successful bonding to tooth structure using current adhesive systems
• Place in a timely fashion direct anterior esthetic restorations in a simulated conditioner
• Perform direct lingual index technique for building class IV composite
• Employ finishing and polishing techniques for achieving enamel-like surface texture
