Course Description

The course offers the principles of literature evaluation including: sources, information gathering to complete a patient’s database, comprehensive drug therapy assessment, identification of medication related needs as well as drug therapy problems and creation of the pharmacist’s care plan. Skills include identifying resources to answer clinical questions, developing search strategies, and critically evaluating scientific literature allowing students to identify and utilize the best evidence to make decisions regarding patient care.
