The Second Burullus Symposium

FUE participates in the 2nd Burullus Symposium from October 1 – 14, 2015.

The highlights of the Symposium includes artistic and activities as well as social community services; these includes: 

• Artistic Section student member activities draw on walls and boats, refurbish the main fountain of Lake Burullus as well as draw on its façade and teach the Lake Burullus children pencil drawing.
• Cultural Section student member participants sing and play musical instruments
• Community Service Section student member participants carry out a campaign for distributing blankets to the residents of the Burullus village.
• Community Service Section student member participants carry a campaign for distributing school bags to the he children of the Burullus village.
• Sports Section student member participants play football, volleyball, cycling race and other games etc.…
• Community Service activities include a medical convey from the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine to provide treatment to the residents of the Burullus village; a part from conducting awareness campaigns on dental care that include the distribution of tooth brushes and tooth paste to the children.
• Upon completion of their work, FUE participating student members and the convoy’s medical team enjoy a Felucca Trip as well as lunch on the Lake’s shore.
• In the Symposium, FUE students participate along with Egyptian and International artists such as: Ibrahim Ghazaleh, Mohamed Sabry, Gameel Shafik, Omar El Fayoum, Reem Hassan, Akeela Riad, Sally El Zaini, Mona Ealewa, Gihan Soliman, Kassim Clay, Moataz El Imam, Hassan Abdel Fattah, Mohamed Abdel Hadi, Adel Mostafa and Abdel Wahab Abdel Mohsen and on the international arena, artists come from India, Al Bahrain, ran, Tunis, Portugal and the Sudan.
• The event ends by honoring FUE for its active participation in the event, as the director of Student Life, Ms Manal Khalil receives the Oscar Prize for FUE’s role in the event.
• Under the directions of Ms Manal Khalil, the event is supervised by Ms Nariman Amer and Captain Mohamed Fawzy.
