Summer Course at UCC Ireland 2023
Clinical Pharmacy Program will include:
- Workshop on communication skills/cultural diversity
- Respiratory Disease Workshop / Health Promotion – Smoking cessation
- Workshop on reviewing CUH respiratory cases from Virginia Silvari Keane
- Dispensing workshop/counselling patients – Liver
- Hepatic diseases tutorial with hospital pharmacist
- Cardiovascular disease workshop
- Workshop on reviewing CUH cardiovascular cases from Virginia Silvari Keane
- Simulated visit to community pharmacy (model pharmacy)
Pharmaceutics Program will include:
- Workshop on tableting (Granulation demonstration)
- Tableting and compression – Practical
- Process control in solid oral dosage manufacture
- Workshop on GMP
- Workshop on data analysis (tableting) / lab report writing
The UCC's Summer School Program will also include a historic and cultural tour at the University, an organized visit to tourist destinations in the Cork region besides time allocated to free tours and shopping.
Site visits and scientific activities:
- Tour of Biopharma Training Centre
- AbbVie visit
- Journal club presentation activity
Eligibility:
Students who completed at least the courses for level three by spring 2023
