Future University in Egypt Announces the Launch of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Initiative “A New Beginning for Quality Assurance” Under the patronage of His Excellency the Prime Minister, Prof. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly

About the Initiative

The initiative comes in line with the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to build the Egyptian citizen and raise students’ awareness of the importance of education quality and its role in preparing generations capable of facing future challenges. It also represents an extension of the Egyptian state initiative “A New Beginning for Building the Human Being,” launched in September 2024.

The initiative is keen on activating the role of Egyptian and international students in higher education institutions in promoting a culture of quality within universities, understanding academic accreditation standards, and contributing to the improvement of educational outcomes.

This step follows the significant success achieved by the 7th International Conference of the Authority, held from 2–4 November 2024, as well as the wide participation witnessed in the workshop titled “The Role of University Students in Education Quality.”

Objectives of the Initiative

Enhancing the role of students in spreading a culture of quality.
Raising awareness of accreditation standards and quality assurance.
Supporting the development of educational outcomes within Egyptian universities.
Preparing student cadres capable of leadership, innovation, and keeping pace with labor market requirements.
Supporting Egypt Vision 2030 through the development of the higher education system.

In its first phase, the initiative targets 100,000 students from Egyptian universities through visits and training workshops supervised by a specialized team from the Authority. Each visit targets 200 students per university, with the participation of quality coordinators and directors of quality assurance units in faculties.

Two specialized workshops were organized and attended by 300 students from different faculties at Future University in Egypt. During these workshops, the Authority presented an explanation of quality standards and the role of students in supporting and implementing accreditation systems, contributing to the development of the educational process within Egyptian universities.

Conclusion

The announcement of the “A New Beginning for Ensuring Quality Education” initiative represents an important step toward strengthening a culture of quality within Egyptian universities and building an aware generation capable of contributing to a more advanced and sustainable educational future.
