Future University in Egypt hosted the regular meeting of the Council of Private Universities, chaired by Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and attended by Prof. Abdel Wahab Ezzat, Secretary-General of the Council, along with the Council members, and the participation of more than 40 private and national universities, as well as numerous advisors and media officials, at the Future university’s campus.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Council of Private Universities extended its appreciation to the leadership and staff of Future University in Egypt, headed by Prof. Ebada Sarhan, President of the University, for hosting the meeting and providing full support for its successful organization.
During the meeting, Prof. Ayman Ashour emphasized that private universities are a fundamental pillar of Egypt’s higher education system, offering high quality educational experiences through modern academic programs aligned with the evolving needs of local, regional, and international labor markets.
The Minister praised the international partnerships established by private universities with prestigious global institutions, stressing the importance of continuously developing infrastructure and laboratories, enhancing educational services and student activities, introducing new academic programs that keep pace with rapid labor market developments, and supporting talented students while fostering innovation and excellence.
Prof. Ashour also highlighted the importance of strengthening the role of private universities in community service and increasing their participation in national initiatives, contributing to sustainable development goals.
Regarding academic procedures, the Minister directed universities to promptly complete examination control processes and announce results immediately after exams conclude, enabling students to register for courses at the start of the second semester in all faculties operating under the credit-hour system.
He further stressed the necessity of completing all maintenance work during the mid-year break and ensuring the readiness of safety and occupational health equipment across all university facilities.
Prof. Abdel Wahab Ezzat stated that applications for admission and registration for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year have been opened, subject to available vacancies and in accordance with each university’s internal regulations.
The Council also discussed mechanisms for accelerating the issuance of secured certificates at private universities and reviewed a report on the operational mechanisms of the General Administration for the Affairs of Private and National University Councils regarding student graduation.
The hosting of the Council of Private Universities meeting at Future University in Egypt reaffirms the University’s distinguished academic and institutional standing, as well as its active role in supporting the development of Egypt’s higher education system and enhancing the quality of education in line with national vision and global standards.
