Faculty of Pharmacy at Future University in Egypt Hosts Interactive Workshop on Presentation and Communication Skills for Future Pharmacists

As part of its ongoing commitment to preparing highly qualified healthcare professionals, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Future University in Egypt continues to provide students with enriching learning experiences that extend beyond traditional academic education. Recognizing that successful pharmacists require not only scientific expertise but also strong interpersonal and communication skills, the faculty regularly offers capacity-building initiatives designed to enhance students’ professional readiness and career success.

In this context, internship students at the Faculty of Pharmacy recently participated in a dynamic and highly interactive session titled “Mastering Presentation & Communication Skills for Future Pharmacists,” held on January 18, 2026. The session was delivered by Dr. Menna Attef Ewida, Lecturer of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and organized by the Postgraduate Studies & Research Affairs Sector as part of the Faculty’s Capacity Building Program.

The session aimed to equip students with essential communication competencies that are increasingly vital in today’s healthcare environment. As pharmacists take on expanded roles in patient care, healthcare teams, research, and industry, the ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally has become a fundamental requirement for success.

Throughout the workshop, students explored a range of topics related to effective presentation and communication techniques. The discussion highlighted strategies for delivering professional presentations, engaging audiences, conveying complex information with clarity, and communicating effectively in both academic and clinical settings. Participants also gained valuable insights into workplace communication, learning how effective dialogue can strengthen professional relationships and improve collaboration within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

What distinguished the session was its practical and engaging approach. Through real-life examples, interactive discussions, and hands-on activities, students were encouraged to apply the concepts being presented and reflect on their own communication styles. The workshop emphasized the importance of confidence, preparation, active listening, and adaptability when interacting with different audiences.

Special attention was given to the impact of non-verbal communication, including body language, facial expressions, and tone of voice. Students learned how these elements influence perception and contribute significantly to the effectiveness of professional interactions. By understanding the relationship between verbal and non-verbal communication, participants were able to develop a more comprehensive approach to delivering messages with clarity and impact.

The enthusiasm and active participation demonstrated by the internship students reflected their dedication to personal and professional growth. Their engagement throughout the session highlighted the Faculty’s culture of continuous learning and its commitment to developing graduates who are not only academically accomplished but also equipped with the soft skills necessary to excel in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Future University in Egypt remains dedicated to fostering a holistic educational experience that combines academic excellence with professional development. Through initiatives such as the Capacity Building Program, students are provided with opportunities to strengthen their competencies, broaden their perspectives, and prepare confidently for future careers in pharmacy and healthcare.

As the Faculty continues to invest in the development of its students, it looks forward to delivering more impactful workshops and training opportunities that empower future pharmacists to become effective communicators, influential healthcare professionals, and leaders in their fields.
