Future University in Egypt (FUE) continues its commitment to developing well-rounded healthcare professionals by providing students with opportunities that extend beyond academic and clinical excellence. In line with this vision, the Faculty of Pharmacy successfully organized an engaging leadership workshop titled “Start Before You Are Ready: The Leadership Experience” on April 19, 2026, attracting more than 100 pharmacy students eager to enhance their personal and professional development.
The workshop was led by Assoc. Prof. Reem Tarek, Associate Professor of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Biochemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, FUE, and a certified trainer, alongside Dr. Ahmed Soudi, HR Consultant and Certified Trainer. Together, they delivered a highly interactive and inspiring learning experience designed to help students develop essential leadership competencies and strengthen their readiness for future professional challenges.
Throughout the workshop, participants explored leadership as more than a position or title, but as a mindset centered on influence, responsibility, and positive impact. Students gained valuable insights into self-awareness, effective communication, teamwork, and decision-making, while learning how these skills can contribute to success in both academic and healthcare environments.
The program featured a dynamic blend of interactive lectures, group discussions, role-playing activities, simulation exercises, and collaborative tasks that encouraged active participation and meaningful engagement. These hands-on experiences enabled students to apply leadership concepts in practical scenarios, fostering confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
By combining theoretical knowledge with experiential learning, the workshop created an environment where students could reflect on their strengths, identify areas for growth, and develop strategies for becoming effective leaders within their future professions. The enthusiastic participation of attendees highlighted the growing recognition among pharmacy students of the importance of leadership and soft skills in today’s rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.
This successful initiative reflects the Faculty of Pharmacy’s ongoing dedication to empowering students with the personal and professional competencies needed to complement their scientific and clinical education. Through such impactful experiences, Future University in Egypt continues to prepare future healthcare professionals who are equipped not only with academic excellence, but also with the leadership skills necessary to create meaningful change within their communities and the healthcare sector at large.
