Dear Students,
Professor Azza A. Mahmoud, Ph.D., is currently serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Future University in Egypt (FUE). She holds a Professor Degree in Pharmaceutics since 2018 and has served the institution as the Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs from 2021 to 2025. She earned her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from Cairo University (2008). Her dedication to scientific governance is highlighted by her role as a Member in the Drug Research Counselling at the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology for consecutive terms (2018-2021, 2021-2024, and 2025-2027). Professor Mahmoud has received considerable recognition for her scientific contributions, being consistently named among the top 2% scientists worldwide by Stanford University studies for four consecutive years (2021–2024). Her major awards include the State Excellence Award in Advanced Technological Sciences (2024), the State Encouragement Award (2016), the Pioneer Award in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2016), and a Silver Medal at the Geneva International Innovations Exhibition (2021). Her research focuses on advanced pharmaceutical formulations, specifically nanotechnology-based drug delivery systems and scaffolds for tissue engineering. Her academic output is substantial, encompassing numerous high-impact international scientific articles, two accepted patents, and participation in over 15 major financed research projects. Her editorial service is highlighted by her role as Editor-in-Chief of the Future Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (FJPS), building on her experience as Deputy Editor-in-Chief (2021-Present) and Associated Editor (2015-2021).
