Maspero Studios and Transceiver Stations Visit
On Sunday 20th of November 2016, Senior Students from the faculty of Engineering visited Maspero studions and transceiver stations.
Visit’s Supervisors:
Dr. Kamel Mohamed Hassan, Head of Electrical Engineering Department
Eng. Ahmed Saeed, Assistant Lecturer
Participants: 5 Senior Students from Electronics and Communications Engineering Division
Visit’s program:
1- Meeting with Dr. Rehab El Rahmawy who conducted a brief speech on the visit’s program.
2- A tour of the different radio studios, under the supervision of Eng. Manal Soliman, General Manager of the Radio Studios. Eng. Soliman gave a detailed explanation of a large number of various studios including (Music studios - Live studios - Recording studios .... etc).
3- Eng. Mohsen Hanafy guided the students, during the visit, to the microwave transmission center on the 28th floor; where he explained to them its mechanism and purpose.
4- A visit to the Fiber-optic transmission center where Eng. Hanafy demonstrated the importance of such center and its association with the main transmission stations in Al Mokattam.
The Maspero visit lasted for around 5 hours. The students were extremely content and satisfied with the visit, as they managed to witness hand on the practical applications of the knowledge they have already acquired in college. At the end of the visit, Dr. Kamel Hassan praised the great effort exerted and the spirit of those who were in charge of the visit, most notably:
