A Success Story
First FUE Engineering Graduate to obtain PhD

Hossam Elhegazy graduated from Future University in Egypt in 2011, and is currently working as Assistant Lecturer in the Structural Engineering and Construction Management Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Future University in Egypt (FUE).
After completing high school in 2006 with a grade of 90.6% he was certified as the eighth in scientific researches in Egypt. After that, Hosam joined the Faculty of Engineering in 6th October University. Later, he joined the Faculty of Engineering in Future University in Egypt to complete studying the remaining specialized years in Structural Engineering and Construction Management Department under the supervision of Prof. Hisham Arafat Mahdy.

Hosam graduated from Structural Engineering and Construction Management in 2011 with an overall grade of Very Good and had the 2nd highest GPA of the first class of Engineering to graduate from FUE. He also received Excellent in his graduation project.
In 2012, Hosam enrolled in studying for Masters in Civil Engineering (Structural), Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University and graduated in 2015. On the celebration of the Science Day held at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Hosam was awarded certification for the best Master Thesis in 2015-2016 in Structural Engineering Department at Ain Shams University. The thesis was a co-operation between two specializations in Structural Engineering; Construction Project Management and Designing of Steel Structures under the supervision of Prof. Ibrahim Abdel Rashid (Professor of Construction Project Management) and Prof. Saied Aboul-Haggag (Professor of Design of Steel Structure). In 2020, Hosam received his Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University. The thesis was a supervision co-operation between Ain Shams University and Future University in Egypt. Furthermore, the past eight years Hosam participated in the publishing technical papers in international scientific journals.
In 2018, Future University in Egypt supported Hosam to complete the studies related to the Ph.D. thesis in University of Cincinnati at USA for one year. Before his return back to Egypt, Hosam was hosted by the President of the University of Cincinnati in his office.
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology supported Hosam to participate in the organization of the scientific conference, which was held at Cairo in 2016. Hosam participated in the FUE committee based on the certificate of excellence for Future University in Egypt (2018-2019) under the supervision of Prof. Osama Salama, Vice President of FUE.
Recently, Hosam became a member of international scientific institutions specializing in Project Management and Civil Engineering. He also became a reviewer for research in some scientific journals.
Hosam participated in the construction and construction management of several national projects in Egypt such as LDAN Complex Project - EHC (Egypt Hydrocarbon company Ammonium Nitrate Plant), 6th Oct. Power Plant Extension Project, Mall of Egypt, New Capital Combined Cycle Power Plant Project (One of the largest power plant in the Middle East), 6th Oct. Power Station - Add on - Combined Cycle Project extension, and lately Almaza City Centre.
