Egypt in a Changing World: Future University in Egypt Conference Minister of Public Business Sector opening Future University in Egypt Conference

Future University in Egypt organized the conference “Egypt in a Changing World” on Saturday has discussed the map of political, economic, and social reform in Egypt and how is it corresponding to the changing world around us opening the discussion with Hisham Tawfik Minister of Public Business Sector, said Egypt faces many challenges but the government succeeded to develop the country, there's an urgent need to restore economic stability.

Egypt in a Changing World: Future University in Egypt Conference Hisham Tawfik adding, there is a structural change occurring in the business sector to support the economy and achieve financial gains, pointing out the efforts to restore and make balance through working to change Law 203 dedicated to serving the business sector in Egypt.

Ebada Sarhan, President of Future University in Egypt said, "Digital transformation is an important sector nowadays. Moreover, Future University in Egypt succeeded this year in Arab universities 2020 and got the highest rank (71 to 80) compared with 2019 they were 120, in scientific research and academic activities".

Egypt in a Changing World: Future University in Egypt Conference "Egyptian network of highways witnessed major extensions and improvements. In addition, Egypt Vision 2030 and the 2030 Agenda are implemented by engaging all stakeholders. The role of the private sector and the civil society is key in the realization of these goals", said Hisham Arafat, former Minister of Transportation.

"The important role of the government is spreading awareness to the citizens and it is important to politically and diplomatically engage with the region to solve the national issues", Mostafa El Feki Director of Bibliotheca Alexandria said.

Egypt in a Changing World: Future University in Egypt Conference Gouda Abdel-Khalek, Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University said, "Egyptian authorities well aware of the urgent need for structural reforms, and current plans to improve the business environment through digital transformation".

"Egypt is committed to progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Egypt’s Sustainable Development Strategy, Egypt Vision 2030, is in line with SDGs. 

The national strategic plan’s three dimensions (economic, social, and environmental) plans provide programs, policies, and measurable indicators in order to put Egypt on the right path toward sustainable development which Egypt succeeded in it" by Ashraf Al Araby, former Minister of Planning.

Sherine El Shawarby, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science in Future University in Egypt mention, "the aims of the conference came to discuss the challenges that we face in our life; started by climate, environmental changes, epidemics, and technology that disrupt the labor markets, as well as economic and political changes by discussing scientific research papers. The researchers highlight a number of pressing issues in the private sector’s role in digitally transforming and the national infrastructure through the establishment of regional software hubs and exporting it to the world".

The conference recommended, Government took very bold and timely measures as well as reforms to put the economy on the path towards a more stable resilient economy. The Government of Egypt is committed to pursuing its agenda of economic reforms to create an enabling environment for inclusive growth and sustainable development.
