Future University in Egypt Organizes an International Workshop Titled “Child’s City” to Design Child-Friendly Urban Environments

Future University in Egypt is honored to organize an international workshop titled “Child’s City”, held under the patronage of Prof. Ebada Sarhan, President of the University; Prof. Abdel Wahab El Ghandour, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs; and Prof. Mohamed Abdel Motaal, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
The workshop is organized by the Department of Architecture, under the supervision of Prof. Noha Gamal Said, the Egyptian principal investigator of the project and Professor of Architecture at Future University in Egypt.
This workshop is part of an international research project funded by LHMENA, with the participation of a multidisciplinary team of professors, researchers, and students from France, Switzerland, Tunisia, Morocco, and Researchers and students from Ain Shams University and Future University in Egypt also participate.
Workshop Objectives
The “Child’s City” workshop aims to explore urban spaces and develop strategies to make cities more child friendly. The workshop includes:
- Public lectures delivered by international and local experts
- Practical workshops on child-friendly urban and architectural design
- Research discussions and academic sessions
- An exhibition showcasing the outcomes of the international research project
The workshop provides students and researchers with a unique opportunity to engage with the latest approaches in innovative urban planning, child-centered city design, and international research collaboration in the field of architecture.

- Participants: Over ten international professors and researchers, students from the National School of Architecture and Urbanism in Tunis, as well as faculty members, teaching assistants, and students from Future University and the Faculty of Engineering at Ain Shams University
