Future University in Egypt Hosts Industrial Workshop on Vaccine Manufacturing in Collaboration with VACSERA and Africa CDC
The Faculty of Pharmacy at Future University in Egypt, under the Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Affairs, successfully hosted an Industrial Workshop in Vaccine Manufacturing on February 10th, 2026. The workshop was organized in collaboration with VACSERA and Africa CDC as part of the EVMA_RCCN initiative, contributing to capacity building and knowledge sharing across North Africa.
The workshop featured expert-led sessions highlighting Egypt’s collaborative efforts in biomanufacturing localization and pharmaceutical capacity building in Africa. Dr. Dalia Mohamed, alongside the VACSERA team, presented the company’s century-long expertise and capabilities in vaccine manufacturing.
In coordination with Prof. Dr. Azza Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Future University team delivered comprehensive sessions on reverse vaccinology through genomics and bioinformatics, mRNA therapy from bench to bedside, and model-informed vaccine and biopharmaceutical development. These sessions bridged academic research with industrial applications, emphasizing practical skills and innovative approaches in modern biomanufacturing.
The workshop provided an invaluable platform for knowledge exchange, fostering collaboration between academic institutions and industry partners. Participants explored opportunities aligned with Egypt’s and Africa’s vision for the localization of pharmaceutical and biological products, strengthening regional capabilities in vaccine production.
