Course Objectives 

  • Indications, advantages and requirement of Partial Coverage treatment modality. 
  • Evaluate when to cover or to leave a cusp. 
  • Understand the differences and latest improvements in modern ceramic materials. 
  • Prepare posterior teeth in a minimal invasive way, defect oriented. 
  • Review the guidelines of Preparation, Impression, and Temporization of Inlays, Onlays, table tops, overlays and Partial Crowns. 
  • Evaluate the Clinical Bonding Protocol of Partial Coverage Restorations. 
  • Understand when the CAD-CAM technology represent an advantage for the patient to the conventional techniques. 

Course Description (Theoretical/ Hands On)

Micromotors, High speed rotors (if possible), diamond stones, handpieces, mirrors, probes, tweezers, lancets, cement spatulas, coloured pencils, typodonts and acrylic teeth (posteriors), impression trays. {posterior natural teeth for training, handpieces (low speed and high speed)}
