PHOCUS EPSF-FUE 2022 The Start of Pharmacy Students Booming
As part of the International Pharmaceutical Students Federation (IPSF), the Egyptian Pharmaceutical Students' Federation (EPSF) society of Future University in Egypt (EPSF – FUE) launched its first scientific conference on FUE campus on Thursday 19/05/2022.
The International Pharmaceutical Students Federation (IPSF) is the leading international advocacy organisation for pharmacy and pharmaceutical science students and recent graduates, promoting improved public health through the provision of information, education, networking, and a range of publications and professional initiatives. IPSF has good terms and an effective partnership with the global body - the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).
Under the supervision of Vice Dean Prof. Nabila EL Maraghy and the EPSF-FUE Academic Director Dr. Asmaa Mandour, the event was launched as a hybrid conference as one physical day on FUE campus and 2 virtual days organised by FUE Pharmacy students members of EPSF-FUE. Over the three days, the conference welcomed and saw a record number of FUE Pharmacy students as well as FUE Pharmacy alumni that showed high interest and amazing interaction in the physical and virtual talks in a nice festive atmosphere.
On the 1st day, EPSF – FUE invited three keynote speakers to talk about many interesting and trending topics:
1. Dr. Islam Anan – CEO Accsight and Part-timer Lecturer of Pharmacoepidemiology, FUE and a talk about study design and PharmacoEpi understanding
2. Dr. Seif EL Hadidi – Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacy, FUE and Taskforce Silver member of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) for a scientific lecture about introduction to medical oncology and breast cancer
3. Dr. Yasser Omar – Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacy, FUE for a presentation about clinical pharmacy practice and clinical pharmacist personal growth.
