The General English courses are designed to build the students’ confidence and ability in the four language skills: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. Students also develop their use of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. The level system is based on the CEFR "Common European Framework of Reference". The courses offer a unique mix of engaging classroom materials and reliable assessment which enables learners to make consistent and measurable progress.
Throughout the courses, learners encounter texts and images that inform, amuse, surprise, entertain, raise questions, arouse curiosity and empathy, provoke an emotional response, and prompt new insights and perspectives – this means that learners are consistently motivated to engage, read, listen, and communicate.
