Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (DELTA Module 1)

The DELTA is a globally recognized qualification for English language teachers.
Who is it for?
Teachers who want to advance their careers in English language teaching and become better practitioners. The DELTA is a most valued teaching qualification; it paves the way for you to be a teacher trainer, director of studies, or department manager.
Teachers must have a good command of the English language (CEFR level C1-C2 or above). Teachers also must have at least one year's experience of teaching English.
Course format:
Course length: input sessions, once a week
Online (asynchronous) input sessions, exam practice, online resources available
While the course is mainly self-study with an answer key provided, a tutor is available to give you advice and evaluate your task responses.
Cambridge DELTA Module 1
focuses on Understanding Language, Methodology & Resources for Teaching. This module focuses on extending and developing candidates’ knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning English in a range of contexts.

How you will be assessed
The candidate is expected to complete the assigned exam tasks every week. The final exam is held twice a year in June and December.
