Activities of the Community Service and Environmental Development Committee
A seminar was held on October 13, 2025, in cooperation with Huawei ICT Egypt to announce the Huawei ICT Competition, which was scheduled to take place from October 2025 to May 2026.

Al-Manar School was welcomed on November 2, 2025, for an educational visit to the Virtual Reality Laboratory at the Faculty of Computers and Information Technology.
A number of students participated in an art workshop that included photography, acrylic painting, and resin art at the university campus during the period from February 17 to February 28, 2025.
Students participated in Children's Day celebrations at Dar Al-Iman on November 20, 2025, alongside children with special needs. Toys and gifts were distributed to the children as part of the event.
Faculty members, teaching assistants, and students participated in the charity exhibition organized by the Faculty of Commerce at Future University on December 23, 2025, during which new and used clothing was distributed.

Teaching Assistant Jana Emara obtained the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2025 Foundation Associate certification on November 13, 2025.
Prof. Mohamed Fouad was delegated to Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, to deliver a training program on Artificial Intelligence and its Applications at the Global Academy for Supply Chain and Management during the period from November 17–20, 2025.
A faculty seminar was held on November 24, 2025, to discuss the latest developments in scientific research, in addition to reviewing two Master's and Ph.D. research projects.
An awareness seminar on the Digital Transformation Initiative was conducted on December 1, 2025, in cooperation with specialists from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, including Dr. Khaled Hassan, Editor-in-Chief of Digital World Magazine, with the participation of university students.
An awareness session on participation in the ECPC Programming Competition was conducted on December 8, 2025. The session was delivered by Dr. Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Senior Coach for the Middle East Region and faculty member at the Department of Computer Science, Cairo University, with participation from university students.
Prof. Dr. Abeer ElKorany, Dean of the Faculty, was appointed to the Promotions and Referees Committee for the Computing and Information Colleges Sector of the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities (15th Cycle) and was also added to the list of external reviewers of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE) in October 2025.
Prof. Mohamed Fouad published a scientific article in the Journal of Theoretical and Applied Electronic Commerce Research, a Q1-ranked journal indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, in October 2025.
The Faculty participated in preparing a report highlighting Future University's achievements during the 2025/2026 academic year across the various pillars of Egypt's National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research 2030.
A comprehensive promotional and informational package for the Faculty was prepared for use on the university's official website, brochures, social media platforms, advertising campaigns, and other media materials as part of preparations for the 2026/2027 student recruitment campaign. The content included:
- Faculty identity and institutional excellence.
- Academic programs and curriculum.
- Career opportunities and labor market prospects.
- Educational and humanitarian mission.
- Laboratories and facilities.
- Graduate studies (Diploma, Master's, and Ph.D. programs).
- Professional training programs and certification courses.
Faculty students participated in the Third International Forum on Artificial Intelligence, where three innovative student projects in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics were showcased on October 16, 2025.
The PERL & McGrew Awareness Event was conducted on September 23, 2025.
An orientation event for the Huawei ICT Competition was organized on October 13, 2025.
Registration for the Huawei ICT Competition remained open until October 18, 2025, and the preliminary examinations were held on October 28, 2025.
Awareness programs on Digital Transformation were implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on December 1, 2025, with the participation of Dr. Khaled Hassan, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Digital World Magazine.
An introductory session on the ECPC Programming Competition was held for university students on December 17, 2025, delivered by the international coach Prof. Mohamed Abdel Wahab. Students from the Faculty of Computers and Information Technology participated in the competition in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering.
Faculty members, teaching assistants, and students participated in the Annual Charity Exhibition organized by the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration on December 23, 2025.
The regional finals of the Huawei ICT Competition were held on December 31, 2025.
Students participated in the Cisco Networking Academy Cup Competition – Regional Finals on January 31, 2026.
An Open Day was organized on January 28, 2026, for students from various schools at Future University. The event was organized by faculty members, teaching assistants, and students. Visitors were introduced to the Faculty's activities, academic programs, and career opportunities available after graduation, and all inquiries were addressed during guided tours of the Faculty's laboratories.
An awareness training course entitled "AI: Fundamentals and Applications" was delivered on February 7, 2026, for 25 students from Al-Manar School at the Faculty's Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. The course aimed to:
- Understand how Artificial Intelligence technologies work.
- Foster creativity and encourage interaction with modern technologies such as computer vision and text-to-video generation.
- Understand practical AI applications in daily life and their role in problem-solving.
- Build confidence in understanding and utilizing emerging technologies.
- Develop logical thinking skills for data analysis and decision-making.
- Enhance communication and teamwork skills.

Students from Al-Manar School visited the Faculty's Artificial Intelligence Laboratory on March 7, 2026, as part of an educational field trip.
A comprehensive marketing and informational package for the Faculty was completed and submitted to the University's Marketing and Public Relations Department on March 9, 2026, in preparation for the 2026/2027 admission campaign. The package included:

A communal Iftar gathering was organized on April 5, 2026, during the holy month of Ramadan, attended by university leadership, faculty representatives, and students. The event included a variety of social and entertainment activities and fostered a spirit of communication, appreciation, and community engagement.
A cooperation agreement was signed between Future University and Red Hat on April 7, 2026, establishing a framework for sustainable strategic collaboration aimed at developing institutional capabilities in open-source technologies, promoting globally recognized professional practices, enhancing the integration of theoretical knowledge and practical applications, and supporting digital transformation initiatives.
A specialized training program entitled "Odoo Technical ERP Systems" was conducted on April 13 and 17, 2026, through the Information Systems Department in cooperation with Odoo, a leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions provider. The program was attended by faculty members, teaching assistants, alumni, and students. The training activities included:
- Enhancing participants' theoretical and practical knowledge through specialized technical training on the Odoo ERP platform.
- Introducing key software solutions and their applications in improving administrative and institutional operations.
- Providing hands-on training in software development and implementation from inception.
- Developing participants' skills in utilizing modern digital applications and ERP solutions relevant to current labor market requirements.
- Awarding certificates of completion to 3 faculty members, 5 teaching assistants, 4 alumni, and 34 students in recognition of successfully fulfilling all training requirements.
Future University was selected from among 83 international universities to represent the Arab Republic of Egypt in the first collaboration between China and African countries under the China–Africa AI Computer Facility Development Initiative. Only ten distinguished faculty members from ten different African countries were selected for this initiative. Dr. Rahma Talba, a faculty member in the Digital Media Department at the Faculty of Computers and Information Technology and the university's representative, was selected in recognition of her outstanding academic and professional achievements and her continued commitment to advancing artificial intelligence research and development.
The training program was held at the Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence from April 14 to April 30, 2026, with the objective of preparing "Master Trainers" who would subsequently train students and educators across the African continent. The program was supported by the African Scientific Research and Innovation Council, the Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence, and Peking University. The training activities included:
- In-depth discussions and knowledge exchange sessions exploring the latest advanced AI technologies.
- Collaborative development of real-world projects with developers and researchers through the FlagOS Open AI Systems Community.
- Utilization of advanced computing resources and global learning platforms, laying the foundation for a sustainable AI ecosystem.
An orientation event was held on April 18, 2026, in collaboration with the IEEE Egypt Section to announce the launch of the 20th edition of the IEEE Made in Egypt Competition. The event took place at the University Theater and was attended by IEEE organizers, faculty members from Egyptian universities and Future University, as well as students from various Egyptian universities, particularly the Faculties of Computers and Information Technology and Engineering at Future University.
The opening activities included:
- Interactive technical sessions, workshops, and hands-on training covering emerging technologies, problem-solving strategies, and practical engineering applications.
- Networking opportunities that enabled students to interact with industry leaders, exchange ideas, and establish collaborative relationships.
- An Innovation Exhibition showcasing inspiring projects and prototypes developed by participating teams, highlighting Egyptian talent and creativity.
An introductory meeting was held on April 20, 2026, with Positive Technologies, a leading Russian cybersecurity company, attended by faculty members and teaching assistants from the Faculty. Discussions focused on potential collaboration in student summer training programs, continuing education courses, and Training-of-Trainers (ToT) programs in cybersecurity, as well as methods for preventing, responding to, and recovering from cyberattacks.
A workshop on Cybersecurity was conducted on April 27, 2026, by Dr. Samir Gaber, Head of the Cybersecurity Research and Development Department at the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and Dr. Mohamed Waly. The workshop was attended by faculty members, teaching assistants, and students. Certificates of attendance were awarded. Topics covered included:
- Fundamental concepts of cybersecurity.
- Identity and Access Management (IAM), including least-privilege principles and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Regulatory compliance with standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
- Threat simulation, phishing, and social engineering scenarios, including real-world examples and detection techniques.
- Malware and ransomware, including methods of propagation and data encryption.
- Real-time breach simulation exercises designed to test decision-making and communication under pressure.
- Hands-on laboratory activities utilizing tools such as Kali Linux, Wireshark, and Metasploit for authorized penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
A field visit to the Information Technology Institute (ITI) at the New Administrative Capital was organized on April 30, 2026, with the participation of 26 students from the Faculty. The visit included an overview of available programs, laboratory tours, and exposure to the latest graduation projects, in collaboration with the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration.
A workshop on Communication and Presentation Skills was held on May 4, 2026, and delivered by Dr. Hadeer Mohamed, a specialist in Communication Sciences. The workshop was attended by faculty members, teaching assistants, and students.
A workshop entitled Professional Amazon Web Services (AWS) was conducted on May 5, 2026, by Eng. Mohamed Gawish, Managing Director of Amazon Egypt and a 2017 graduate of the Faculty of Computers and Information Technology at Future University. The workshop was attended by faculty members, teaching assistants, and students.
The session addressed key steps students should take after graduation, including selecting an appropriate career path, identifying labor market requirements, and pursuing professional development courses, particularly in Web Services and related emerging technologies. It also highlighted the skills required to work for global technology companies such as Amazon, including analytical thinking, teamwork, and proficiency in modern tools and technologies. Information was also provided on internship opportunities, employment opportunities, and preparation strategies for recruitment interviews.
The workshop included:
- Creating and managing Windows servers using Amazon EC2.
- Configuring and securing networks using Amazon VPC.
- Utilizing Auto Scaling to adjust resources according to workload demands.
- Managing SQL database servers using Amazon RDS.
- Awarding certificates of attendance to participants.
A field visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum was organized on May 9, 2026, with the participation of 45 students from the Digital Media Technology Program and six faculty members and teaching assistants. The visit aimed to:
- Provide students with hands-on experience using Microsoft HoloLens devices, which are difficult to make available in conventional university laboratories due to their advanced capabilities and high cost.
- Enhance students' employability by developing proficiency in Mixed Reality (MR) technologies, thereby strengthening their competitiveness in the technology job market.
- Bridge the gap between theory and advanced practice by enabling students to experience spatial mapping and holographic overlays in a professional environment.
- Connect theoretical coursework with practical applications in advanced technology sectors, ensuring alignment between educational outcomes and evolving industry needs.
- Facilitate professional networking opportunities through interaction with industry experts in augmented and mixed reality technologies.
A recreational day for students of the Faculty of Computers and Information Technology was held on Sunday, May 10, 2026, in the presence of university leadership, faculty administration, faculty members, and teaching assistants. The event featured a variety of recreational activities, sports events, and group competitions that promoted teamwork and strengthened communication between students and faculty members outside the academic environment. The event also provided opportunities for networking and relationship-building, reflecting the university's commitment to supporting students' social well-being alongside academic excellence.
The University Theater hosted the opening ceremony of Microsoft Hackathon'27 on May 11, 2026. The event brought together representatives of the organizing company, distinguished faculty members from various Egyptian universities and Future University, and a large number of students, particularly from the Faculties of Computers and Information Technology and Engineering. Opening remarks emphasized the importance of such competitions in fostering creativity, technical innovation, and teamwork among young people. The objectives, themes, and challenges of the hackathon were presented, encouraging participants to develop innovative technological solutions that contribute to community development and digital transformation.
Prof. Abeer Elkorany, Dean of the Faculty, served as Chair of the Scientific Paper Review and Discussion Committee at the Sixth International Telecommunications Conference (ITC-Egypt 2026), held at the Egyptian Military Academy from July 27 to July 30, 2026.
Prof. Mohamed Mahmoud Fouad, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, served as Chair of the Scientific Paper Review and Discussion Committee at the 16th International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Cybersecurity (ICEENG-IICC 2026), held at the Military Technical College from May 11 to May 14, 2026.
An awareness training course entitled "AI: Fundamentals and Applications" was delivered on May 23, 2026, for 20 students from the Egyptian Choueifat School at the Faculty's Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. The course aimed to:
- Understand how Artificial Intelligence technologies work.
- Foster creativity and encourage trainees to engage with modern technologies such as computer vision, text-to-video generation, and other emerging AI applications.
- Understand the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence in everyday life and how it can be utilized to solve real-world problems.
- Build participants' confidence in their ability to understand and effectively use modern technologies.
- Develop logical thinking skills for data analysis and informed decision-making.
- Enhance communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills among participants.
The Certificate of Completion – Odoo University Course was awarded on 18/5/2026 to (3) teaching assistants and (25) students from the Information Systems program for successfully passing the qualifying examinations.
The Oracle Academy Certificate of Database Foundations was awarded on 11/6/2026 to (108) students of the Faculty for successfully passing the qualifying examinations.
The Faculty of Computers and Information Technology at Future University achieved a distinguished academic accomplishment when five fourth-year students, as part of their graduation project and under the supervision of their project advisor, published a research paper in the field of hidden information detection within digital images. The paper was presented at the International Conference on Computing, Cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence, held at the Military Technical College from 11–14 May 2026. The research addressed modern methods and techniques for analyzing digital images and detecting concealed data using deep learning and artificial intelligence technologies, a vital topic in the fields of cybersecurity and information protection. This achievement reflects the students’ high level of academic and research excellence and demonstrates the Faculty’s commitment to supporting innovation and encouraging active participation in international conferences, thereby preparing graduates capable of competing in advanced technology fields.
Five teams from the Faculty of Computers participated in the AIC-26 Artificial Intelligence Competition under the supervision of several faculty members and teaching assistants. The competition was held at the Military Technical College during the period 11–16 July 2026 and aimed to:
- Accelerate innovation, research, and development by encouraging teams to develop new algorithms and innovative solutions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of emerging artificial intelligence models using standardized datasets and benchmark criteria.
- Address complex real-world challenges and explore the potential of AI in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 13, 14, and 15.
- Attract talented individuals and identify outstanding competencies while providing students with a platform to showcase their capabilities and explore employment opportunities.
- Promote open innovation and collaboration through the use of open data and shared building blocks, thereby strengthening cooperation between academia and industry.
- Ensure safety and ethical compliance in the development of trustworthy AI systems aligned with ethical standards, guaranteeing positive societal impact without causing harm.
- Support digital transformation by assisting organizations in developing prototypes and implementing AI-based solutions to enhance efficiency in traditional industries.

- Announcement of a field visit to the Information Technology Institute (ITI) in the New Administrative Capital on 30/4/2026 to explore available programs, visit laboratories, and review the latest graduation projects in cooperation with the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration.

- Announcement of employment opportunities at Odoo, one of the leading ERP solution providers. A total of 41 CVs were received from graduates and submitted to Odoo’s Human Resources Department as part of recruitment efforts targeting graduates in Computer Science and Information Systems (announced on 9, 13, and 20 April 2026).
- Announcement of employment opportunities at Amazon Egypt. A total of 36 CVs were received and forwarded to the company.
- Announcement of employment opportunities at Red Hat. A total of 15 CVs were received and forwarded to the company.
- Announcement of training opportunities for graduates through the ASRT-STAR2026 Short Visits for Technology Transfer Program, launched by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology under the Ministry of Higher Education. The program aims to support the innovation ecosystem through technology transfer, strengthen international research collaboration, and develop research capacities capable of leading technological transformation and achieving sustainable development goals.
The alumni website is continuously updated to provide services such as certificate issuance and electronic payment facilities.
The alumni contact database for the academic years 2023/2024, 2024/2025, and 2025/2026 is regularly updated, and graduates’ employment status is monitored through an electronic survey distributed via email. Alumni feedback is utilized to support the continuous improvement and development of academic study plans.
Activities of the Occupational Safety and Crisis Management Committee
A Crisis and Emergency Management Team for the building was established and trained.
The duties and responsibilities of the evacuation and firefighting team were identified and assigned.
Evacuation instructions were distributed to all staff members via email.
A successful evacuation drill for the Faculty of Computers and Information Technology building was conducted on 16/9/2025 during the Fall Semester 2025/2026 while lectures were in progress. The building was evacuated immediately upon hearing the alarm, and all occupants proceeded to the designated assembly points. The drill was documented and lasted approximately four minutes.
A second successful evacuation drill for the Faculty of Computers and Information Technology building was conducted on 20/5/2026 during the Spring Semester 2025/2026 while lectures were in progress. The building was evacuated immediately upon hearing the alarm, and all occupants proceeded to the designated assembly points. The drill was documented and lasted approximately four minutes following the same procedures as the previous exercise.
Activities of the Career Guidance and Entrepreneurship Committee
Graduates are contacted through the FUE Alumni Portal, email, the university’s official webpages, and social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram) to inform them of the following:
o Job opportunities announced by the Egyptian Arab Land Bank as part of a recruitment initiative to hire 10 new graduates from the Computer Science and Information Systems programs. A total of 28 CVs were received from graduates and forwarded to the bank’s Human Resources Department on 8/11/2025 and 12/1/2026.

The program targets Egyptian researchers at universities and research centers and provides valuable opportunities for training and research collaboration with prestigious international institutions, contributing to the development of research and practical capabilities and maximizing the benefit from global expertise in advanced technology fields.
A conference was held on 18/5/2026 with the participation of four leading Information Technology companies to present internship opportunities that may lead to employment upon successfully meeting job requirements. The event was attended by third-level students and faculty members.
